ROK - now officially available on PC

This is just a quick post to inform you that the game is now officially available on PC.


This is an excited development, as until now the only way to play using a PC was on bluestacks, which was not the best way to play the game as it often resulting in a Lag.

In this first main article I want to concentrate on civilizations. For many this is a matter of personal choice, and in part depends on the type of troop you will mainly use which fall into either Infantry, Cavalry or Archer. That said you can change civilization later on so are not stuck with the same civilization.  For that reason it is worth starting out with a civilization that assists you in what boosts you need at the beginning of the game such as boost building speed, research speed, gathering speed, action point recovery. In theory many of these will give a boost to one of these elements (you will get 3 different type of boosts per civilization, plus your starting commander). For me personally, I always start with China, as this gives a 5% building speed boost, 5% AP recovery and most importantly gives me a powerful epic commander which many will use in the early game - Sun Tzu. Introduction to ROK

Welcome to this new blog on Rise of Kingdoms (ROK). I have been playing this game for a couple of years now and have a number of accounts in different kingdoms and have taken part in many kingdom v kingdom (kvk) events. Over the course of the next few articles I will be focusing on elements for new users.   You may have already started the game and are a few weeks into your very first account in a kingdom and thought... damn I have done this all wrong and will need to start again in a new kingdom - but before I do I need to find some tips on what I have been doing wrong - and you may have stumbled upon this blog. There are many other sites out there that will also help you, so visit them also. So in this first post I will do a quick introduction to the game and add some overall tips for starting out.
